It hasn't always been easy. In fact, I wound up in the hospital again this weekend with more bleeding. But, the experts tell me that nothing is wrong with our baby. The ultrasound shows wonderful development, strong heartbeat, and lots of activity. It also shows that the placenta is still fully attached to the lining and that the cervix is closed. While this is very reassuring it means that the bleeding remains..... unexplained.
I am trying not to worry, although I promise you the calm demeanor from my last post has disappeared. But still I feel a lot of movement. And feeling Boo kick me is a very, very reassuring thing.
And also our pregnancy books says this about mid-trimester bleeding:
"Light or spotty bleeding in the second or third trimester is generally not a concern. It is often the result of trauma to increasing sensitive cervix during an internal exam or sexual intercourse, or simply of causes unknown. "
It then goes on to discuss placenta previa (which I know I don't have) or abruptio placenta, which they confirmed by ultrasound hasn't happened. So, in light of the fact that I have no cramping, only light spotting, and lots of movement, I am going to try to take the doctor's advice and not worry about it.
Also, I though I would share a picture of what I look like at 22 weeks. If I look like this now, I can only imagine what 36 weeks could bring!

Also, anyone have any ideas or comments about the new blogger? I avoided beta but blogger has been trying to force me into the new program and I am wondering if it is a big switch or not.

Thining of you Krista! Hope that the bleeding continues to be nothing.
Your enthusiasm wehn talking about Boo is wonderful. And so is your belly!
Bleeding can be scary, but quite often is nothing, expecially if the ultrasound shows nothing.
As for beta, it was pretty awful, but has improved a lot...I'm sure it will work.
Wow! Look at that belly!
If you need ANYTHING, let me know.
I know how scary the bleeding can be and how frustrating it is when you don't know the cause. Hope the pregnancy continues to go well.
What a wonderful feeling it is when you feel them kick. Great belly pic.
Sorry I haven't been keeping up-to-date with your pregnancy but the twins are keeping me very busy.
Look at you! What a cute tummy.
I'm glad that you've been told not to worry. I guess these things just happen from time to time and although it's difficult not to obsess over it, at least you know that the baby is doing well and none of those worst case scenarios are what's causing the bleeding.
Looking good. Sorry to hear about the bleeding, hope it stops soon.
I changed to beta without any issues, good luck!
your belly is gorgeous!!!
hope all continues to go well and that the pesky bleeding just goes away....enjoy!

Krista, your belly shot is great!
I hope the bleeding stops and eases your mind. I can't imagine how tough that must be.
I switched to beta without too much hassle...
You look like...a pregnant lady! I hope the bleeding goes away fast...that must be so scary! Like you don't have enough run of the mill things to worry about.
sorry you're getting so much spam, although it's fairly entertaining! You look wonderful. Although I'm sure the bleeding is awful, I'm glad it's nothing to worry about.
