I bought a hot-sling while I was still pregnant and it worked fabulous for the first 4 weeks. I probably should not have bought it while I was pregnant because it meant I could not try it on (the big ass belly was temporary after all). I think I bought it too small, although I followed their sizing guide. In the first few weeks baby K fit in the cradle hold lovely and fell right to sleep every time I wore her. No small feat since this girl rarely sleeps during the day. However, now she doesn't fit in the sling. I know she has gotten bigger but my guess is that I bought the sling too small and didn't account for my new nursing breast size.
So... I am going to have to buy a new sling since the only way this kid sleeps more than 20 minutes at a time during the day is if I don't put her down. I have a Snuggl..y, which she is asleep in right now but the sling was more comfortable for me and if I am going to wear her the majority of the day I would like it to be comfortable.
So tell me.. did you have a sling and if so did you love it and at what age did it seem to work best for you? I hope you are all very opinionated on slings because I will want to buy a new one fairly quickly and I don't want to buy blind again.
Want gratuitous children photo's...? Of course you do, if you are still reading this blog you are clearly reading it for the babes!

She is getting so big!
The ladybug outfit is perfect.
Sorry don't have any advice for you re the sling but thought I'd check out the gorgeous photos, precious :)

Krista - I would get an ergo carrier. They are great - I still use ours on the back to carry Jasper from time to time. Really comfy too.
Or a wrap sling, like the hug-a-bub. They are a pain to learn how to tie, but so comfortable, and also good for ages. I used to leave it on all day and pop him in and out. He loved it.
They kids look so cute together!
I loved the cuddliwrap by Peapod. It was wonderful for the first few months but basically anything you can do the moby wrap with is wonderful. The ring slings seem to work for so many people. Might be worth a try?
I've never have a huge amount of luck with any sling. My favourite is probably the Playtex Hip Hammock that I picked up for $25 at Walmart. Go figure. :)
They are so beautiful!
I've heard great things about Moby wraps, but I'd highly recommend the Ergo. It'll work for you until she no longer needs it (I can still carry K comfortably, and he's almost 3 and weighs 35 lbs).
Man, you've got some gorgeous kids there! So beautiful!
I've tried just about every single sling there is out there. I have baby-wearing friends so thankfully I was able to borrow a lot of them and save myself money. I'm a HUGE fan of the Ergo. I know it's expensive but I love that thing. The one I'm using now is on loan from the sister of a friend but I swear, I might never give it back. I use it pretty much every day. I wish I'd had it when Sam was little because it beats the heck out of the Moby, which I thought I would love but which ended up being more trouble than it was worth. Really, I cannot say enough good things about the Ergo. It will take you through all the stages and it really saves your back. Sam is 28 pounds and I can carry him for an hour without hurting or getting a migraine. 15 minutes with any other sling had me hurting.
I'm going to stop going on and on. Just.. ERGO! Trust me!

Oh so cute!! Love the pictures!!
No sling recommendations here. Both of my kids were so darn long from the beginning (and I'm horribly short) that we couldn't get it right if we tried.
But! I did stick around for the pictures and she is only getting more and more cute!
