What a Break

Well I am just back from my trip to Halifax and I feel completely refreshed (spiritually - physically I am completely exhausted). I had such a great time. I got to visit old friends, old co-workers and spend lots of quality time with the kids I used to nanny. It is amazing how much I love those children. When I started to nanny them the oldest was 2 years 10 months and the youngest were 5 month old twins. They are now 12 and 9 and they are fantastic young people.

Knowing that I will be finished with my job by the end of May has also made a big difference to my spirit. I still have stress and tension in my job but it is more bearable when there is a light at the end of the tunnell. I applied for a new job last week - a position with the government that wouldn't be quite as stressful and would be truly 9-5. I am really hoping to get an interview. There is a new advertisement that I am really interested in but it is in the city and although it is 9-5 it would involve an hour commute each way each day. I am pondering it. I could take the train and it would be a relaxing commute, might be a good way to destress at the end of the day.

I have decided that the next 2 months are going to be focused on rekindling the intimacy that fertility treatment robs from a marriage. Taking a 5 day vacation on my own was surprisingly a good start. I am not sure if it was my lifted spirit or simply the physical separation but I must admit the next two months are looking better and better :-)
